The Artist's Eyes by Jenn Lee

ABOUT: MURALS

As an artist I find great joy in creating/recreating a room in residential/businesses to make the client feel as if they stepped into a completely different space.

Every mural is a unique, one of a kind art piece. Imagine coming home and walking into your bedroom feeling like you stepped into an island retreat. What about walking into your new baby nursery? Having that nursery that feels like the most peaceful serene nest for that new bundle of joy is very important. How about the kitchen, it’s the center of the household; that’s the room that you want to feel inspired in to cook or to have the family congregate in.  How about having a media room that really oozes that theatre feel? Your blank walls can be the artist’s canvas.

In today’s day and age, adding a mural to your decor can really give that added touch and unique quality. Dentists, doctors and hospitals, add a bit of oomph to your waiting areas and rooms. What patient wouldn’t like to have something interesting or relaxing to look at while they are lying on the exam tables, or waiting to be seen? Murals can take their minds off of the reason they are there. Restaurants are popping up on every corner; what could a special mural add to the ambiance while your patrons dine? Last but not least, day-cares, what child doesn’t grow their imagination through visual stimulation? Adding special touches to their playroom can create a mood that really brings them back happily each day. Set your business apart from the competition with a custom mural that reflects who you are and what your business represents.

Mural Services:

The Consultation: A process used to understand your vision, to create the ambiance & personal touch you desire. This process takes two meetings, one to gather information and the second to present a pre-design. Set up a meeting at the location you want your mural. We can measure the space and go over the ideas you want for your mural. This process is without charge.

The Contract: Once the subject matter and basic colors are decided, preliminary design sketches are prepared. Changes to the preliminary design, such as color revisions and additions can be made during the consultation process. Completed designs can be positioned into a photograph of the room for preview before installation. The purpose of this is to give you a clear idea of what the mural will look like. Once it has been approved, a deposit fee will be accepted and the mural creation will begin.

The Process: Wall murals can be painted either on-site on existing wall surfaces, or off-site. Off-site murals can be created on canvas, muslin or paneling, then installed upon completion. Off-site murals have the added convenience of being taken down and used elsewhere if you relocate.

When working on-site, careful pre-paint preparations are made to secure the surrounding area from paint. NO VOC/ECO friendly paints are used for all interior mural installation. All work is hand painted with brushes and no sprayers are used, so there are no airborne particles.

Mural fees are determined by the complexity and size. Estimates include all costs associated with the commission, such as: design, supplies, installation and murals. The total cost of a project and scope of work are itemized and described in the estimate. Fees will not exceed the price agreed to without prior documented and signed approval from the client.

The terms of each purchase order will include such matters as payment schedule, cancellation fees and an agreed upon installation schedule. Please note that once you sign a contract for your project, you will be responsible for payment of a deposit fee. Deposit fee includes estimated cost for materials, which will be itemized in the estimate. Deposit fees are non refundable upon cancellation.
